How it all began

On the day of their blind date, Josie messaged St John to let him know she'd be running late. The reason? Her bridesmaids, Mia and Erika, had led her astray the night before, and she needed some time to pull herself together before the big event. Since then, St John has never once let her down for being late, so punctuality has become a top priority for them both.

St John had chosen a bar called The Living Room in Johannesburg’s CBD for their date. Perhaps we are getting older, or maybe everyone around us was just deaf, but the music was so loud that it was impossible to hear anything clearly. Still, we were both determined that this date would work. After hours of “sorry, what?” and agreeing to things we didn’t catch, Josie finally suggested they head somewhere quieter for food.

They found a cozy noodle bar across the street, and there, they discovered just how much they enjoyed each other's company. It was clear—this was something special.

Fast forward three and a half years, and we have traveled, bought a home, relocated, and welcomed three furry companions into our family. Even after all of that, St John was able to surprise Josie again by popping the question in their garden with a little help from their three creatures, and, of course, Josie said yes!

We could not be more thrilled for this next chapter of our life, and we are so excited to celebrate our true love with family and friends
